Hornby R8243 Surface Mounted Point Motor

Designed to be positioned either side of any Hornby point, this surface mounted point motor allows for the convenient electrical operation of points as well as R8244 remote uncoupler unit.

May not be suitable for use with points which are incorporated into certain track configurations due to space limitations.

The surface mounted point motor is placed beside the point and will require attaching to the baseboard with the screws and screwdriver supplied. The point motors will not operate unless they are screwed to the baseboard.

Can be operated by R044 or Peco PL-26 passing contact switches, A280-15 SPDT centre bias switch or PL-17 / PL-18 probe & stud method.

It is recommended that a Capacitor Discharge Unit such as Peco PL-35 or Gaugemaster CDU is used to ensure positive switching of the turnout motor.
